Menomonie Middle School Welcomes You!
A special 6th grade and/or new student orientation has been planned for you in August! The purpose of orientation is to familiarize you and your child with middle school information. Orientation will include a building tour and a review of our school schedule. Students will also have the opportunity to practice using our combination lockers. This is a great opportunity to seek answers to your questions and reduce the natural anxiety that can exist as you transition to middle school. Orientation will be held in the cafeteria at Menomonie Middle School.
Please review the orientation schedule below. Choose the session you prefer. It is not necessary to pre-register. Simply come to the session of your choice. Please notice some sessions are offered during the day and some sessions are offered in the evening. Sessions are approximately 1 hour in duration. Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
6th Grade Orientation / New Student Orientation Schedule
Monday, August 14 – 3:00 pm OR 6:00 pm
Tuesday, August 15 – 9:00 am
If you are unable to attend any one of the sessions listed above, a mini-orientation session will be offered on Monday, August 28 during our Meet and Greet Day. Students/Parents are encouraged to attend our Meet and Greet Day where we will be taking school portraits, meeting teachers, bringing in supplies, and receiving important information. More information will be mailed home in August regarding this day. Our first full day of class is Tuesday, August 29, 2023.
