6th, 7th & 8th Grade Boys’ Tennis
We are excited to have your middle school student join us this spring for boys’ tennis!
Our season will begin on Wednesday, April 10th with a meeting for all interested athletes in the 8th grade maroon pod at 3:05 pm. Parents please pick up your student from MMS at 3:45pm.
Practice will begin on Tuesday, April 16th! Practice will be at the UW-Stout tennis courts. Practice requires temperatures above 40 F and dry courts. A bus will take students to the courts after school, and parents will pick up students from the UW-Stout tennis courts at 4:45pm. Please be on time!
-
Bring a tennis racket, tennis shoes, a water bottle, and a great attitude to practice!
-
We will learn forehand, backhand, serving, scoring, and overheads.
-
We will be competing with the Eau Claire schools, Chippewa Falls, and Altoona. Players will be transported by bus to and from away games and chaperoned by coaches.
Fees and Paperwork:
-
Please make sure all paperwork is completed before you start practice. This includes an updated physical card, emergency contact card, and the form from the back of the MMS Activity Program Rules and Regulations packet.
-
The $50.00 activity fee should be paid with cash or a check written out to Menomonie Middle School. This fee will cover any athletics your student participates in this school year.
-
Students are also required to purchase a MMS sports T-shirt for $15.00 if they have not already done so. The t-shirts are good for all athletic events your child participates in during 6th, 7th & 8th grade. Please use separate checks for each payment.
-
If payment for either of these items is a concern, please contact Mark Anderson (MMS Assistant Principal).
We strongly encourage all students to participate no matter what their skill level may be!
