Menomonie Middle School Announcements

9/11:  On September 11, 2001, a tragic event took place in the United States that deeply affected our country and the world. On that day, a coordinated attack using four airplanes, leading to the destruction of the World Trade Center in New York City and damage to the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. One of the planes crashed in a field in Pennsylvania after passengers bravely intervened. Many innocent people lost their lives, including first responders who showed incredible courage as they tried to help others.

September 11 is now remembered as a day of reflection, unity, and resilience. It’s a time when we honor those who were lost, recognize the bravery of the heroes who responded, and remind ourselves of the importance of compassion, strength, and coming together as a community—even in the face of hardship.

We will have a moment of silence to honor those lost.

Word of the Month: Prompt

Quote of the Week: The key to being prompt is to be in the habit of thinking ahead.  When you are prepared, you are less likely to be late.
