Dear Parents:

We are pleased to have your child participate in the Menomonie Middle School Wrestling Program.  Wrestling practice is scheduled to start on Monday January 6th, We will begin open mat sessions starting December 2nd. These will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Middle School. There will be no sessions from December 18th to the start of the season due to the holidays.

We will be having a parents meeting the evening after the first practice January 6th at 5pm. This meeting is mandatory, the overview of the season, expectations for wrestlers, and other housekeeping items. Please do your best to attend this meeting

All extracurricular paperwork must be completed and returned before your child will be allowed to actively participate in practice starting Jan 6th.  This paperwork includes a physical, an emergency contact card, the code of conduct and insurance information located in your MMS Activity Program Rules and Regulations packet. If your child has participated in a sport this year at Menomonie Middle School, all paperwork should be on file and does not need to be completed again. A $50.00 activity fee is due for all 6th, 7th and 8th graders. However, if your child has participated in a previous activity where an athletic fee was required they do not need to pay. (Please make a check out to MMS) Please pay as soon as possible or before the first match. All paperwork and money can be turned in at the office. If there is a financial concern at this time, please contact Tina Potter, Activities Coordinator or Mark Anderson, Assistant Principal at Menomonie Middle School.

The Menomonie Middle School Wrestling Program encourages participation in organized athletics as a positive growth experience.  The goal of the program is to promote the development of wrestling skills through interscholastic meets.  We strive for fair and equal matches for all athletes based on practice participation, grades, and school behavior.
