Building SLO/SMART Goal:
During the 2025-2026 school year, staff at Menomonie Middle School will create and implement processes and supports so that every student will improve their executive functioning skills in the areas of planning, organization, and task completion to increase work completion and overall student achievement.
During the 2025-2026 school year, every student at Menomonie Middle School will be able to identify a trusted adult and peer in the building for academic, social, and/or emotional concerns as measured by one to one student-staff conferences.
By the end of the 2025–2026 school year, the median Student Growth Percentile (SGP) for students in grades 6–8 Math will be greater than or equal to 50, and at least 60% of students will score proficient or above, as measured by the STAR Math assessment, administered at least three times per year.
During the 2025-2026 school year, MMS science students will demonstrate an ability to write an informative paragraph. By the spring of 2026, the total number of students developing, approaching, or meeting benchmark (shown by scoring a 3 or 2 on the MMS Short Write Task) will increase by at least 25% as measured by the WI Forward Exam rubric when compared to the fall data. During the 2025-2026 school year, MMS Social Studies students will demonstrate an ability to comprehend informational/argumentative texts within the Social Studies curriculum, which is measured by reading comprehension assessments. By the spring of 2026, the total number of students reaching grade-level achievement will reach 50% as measured by scoring 70% or above on grade-level common assessments.
During the 2025-2026 school year, sixty-five percent (65%) of MMS students will measure at or above grade level as measured by the Pre to Post Benchmark Assessments of CommonLit. In addition, 6th-8th grade students will meet or exceed the National CommonLit growth as measured by scaled score points on the Pre to Post Assessments of CommonLit.
