A few highlights from the races:

On the boys side, Logan set the new school record running 11:17, besting the 2016 record of 11:19 on the same course by Patrick Schwartz. We put a second boy sub-12 this race with Grant Giertz running 11:59.  This puts him 2nd overall in the 6th grade records.  Jack Czechowicz ran 12:30 and moved to 15th on the fastest races ever run at MMS.   Ben Olson ran 18:47, crushing his personal best.   Bryce Bablick's 15:56... broke 16:00!   Asher Barnhart was able to run 14:28. improved on his personal record by over 1:30... Jake Gunderson ran 15:38...an unbelievable improvement, along with Henry H, who ran a 2 minute personal best!  Karter L. was able to break 14:00 for the first time, running 13:58.   Aiden Kroening, Clayton Helmueller and Chase Pember all broke the difficult 13 minute barrier, which is a tough standard in middle school XC.

On the girls side, Allison Xu just missed the GIRLS school record (of 12:52) running a blazing 12:56.  She'll have another shot next week!  Our 6th grade girls stepped up big... Maya Jochimsen moved down to 15:04... an impressive jump to move towards the front of the race.  Grace Nodolf improved from 16:33 down to a 15:05... Wow!  Vienna Paulson, Veronica Molback and Addy Rue all made the All-time top 20 fastest board finishing in 13:38, 13:41, and 13:49 respectively.   Anya L. improved by over a minute.
